The black-necked stilt has legs so absurdly long that the dress simply gives up reaching the floor and lets them do the talking, disappearing beneath the hem entirely. Kawakubo's Spring 2025 Comme des Garçons collection was far too good to visit only once, so this is a second look pulled from it, this time with a Mexican thread running through: the monochrome patterning across the dress carries the joyful geometry of a piñata stripped back to black and white. Structural, celebratory, and impossibly leggy. Fiesta, but make it couture.
